Our Trip to Europe! And I Finally Made a Blog!

I finally got a blog! After constant nagging from my sister Tori, I decided to just do it and make one.

A lot of fun things have been going down on the Smith farm! We just got back from an amazing trip in Europe and are now at school at BYUI in Rexbug, Idaho. Garrett graduates in December with a bachelors in Business Finance and I am very proud of him for all his hard work and dedication.

In Europe we went to London and Paris and did two day trips out to Stonehenge in England and Versailles in France.  The trip was unreal! But enough with the chitchat... Let's get to the pictures!

This was taken at LAX right before we boarded the plane!
After a 12 hour flight, we touched down in London town at around noon. We found our way to our sweet flat right next to this guy... BIG BEN!!!
 Doesn't he look just thrilled??
These are all over London but this was the first one we saw... I was excited.
We found our way to the theater where my FAVORITE show was playing and decided to get tickets to see it that night.
Les Mis in London was incredible.!!  I started crying and continued crying throughout the whole show and was singing along to every song.  (Yes I'm a big nerd)  Everyone in the cast was seriously out of this world!  Especially Jean ValJean!!  I died.
 Did some damage at Primark!
Buckingham Palace!  We were trying to get the guards to look at us, but unfortunately they did not respond.  Obviously.
Our future home.
The second night in London we saw Wicked and loved it!  I also have every song of this show memorized, and it was fun to hear all of them in English accents.
We took a trip out to Stonehenge! It was one of the coolest things EVER!
Our classic dipping pose in front of cool things around the world.

 Westminister Abbey!
Our first crepe of many on the trip!
I'm pretty proud that I took this picture on a moving bus... Skills
Garrett got a traditional English breakfast for dinner...
And I got fish and chips!
We saw Spamalot the last night we were in London and laughed until we cried the whole time.  Seriously one of the funniest shows I've ever seen!
And then there was Paris... The city of romance.
We loved hanging out on the Champ de Elysee.  We had dinner there almost every night and my sweet husband let me go shopping in the fabulous shops there.
The Seine River is seriously beautiful.  This picture was taken right before Gar and I ran into Mitt and Anne Romney on a random side street on our way to the Louvre.  They were super sweet and nice to us but we didn't get a picture with them because they seemed like they were in a hurry.
There she is... And she's tiny.
 The Louvre!!
Outside the Louvre there were these huge beautiful gardens with statues, flowers, fountains, trees, etc. so Garrett and I decided to chill out for a while and just soak in Paris and it's beauty.
 Lover's Bridge!!
We bought a lock on Lover's Bridge, wrote our names on it, locked it on the bridge (among thousands of other locks) and through the key in the Seine River.  It was very romantic.
We tried to get a cool picture on top of the Eiffel Tower but it was a torrential downpour of rain that day so our experience atop the tower was unexpected to say the least.
 So sad :(
 Arch De Triumph!
Yummy yummy macarons! We thought they were very tasty.
Naturally we took a dipping picture in front of the Eiffel Tower.
The flat that we were staying in whilst in Paris was literally right next to the Eiffel Tower.  We would walk outside our place and she was right there.  We loved that!

Notre Dame... So magnificent.
One of the many stained glass windows inside of Notre Dame.
It started raining as we were making our way back from Notre Dame so we stopped to get a $10 milkshake at a little cafe... The "milkshake" tasted like milk with chocolate powder stirred into it... Totally worth the ten bucks.
We went to the Palace of Versailles which was seriously one of the coolest things we've ever seen.  There was gold all over the walls and ceilings and everything was so intricate and just amazing.   (These pictures are blurry because our camera died so we had to take pics with my phone)

The famous hall of mirrors did not disappoint.  One of the most incredible things I've ever seen!

Garrett and I feel so blessed to have been able to go on such a wonderful trip together.  We had so much fun exploring and learning about other cultures and countries.  We love to travel and look forward to traveling more in the future! Next stop... Asia!!  Stay tuned.
